Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Linda from Silly Little Mischief that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library.

This is a day late, and I didn’t post anything on Tuesday either. AHHH I’M GETTING LAZY WITH MY POSTING AGAIN!

At least I’m posting something though right?

Alright, here’s my Library Loot for this week:

ll4

On top of all the books from the previous two Library Loots that I’ve done, I now have two more books to add to the TBR pile!

Caraval by Stephanie Garber: I’ve wanted to read this book since I saw ARCs of it kicking around on Instagram, and now that it’s just recently released it’s STILL on Instagram, and apparently the U.K. version has different images under the dust jacket? It’s about two sisters, Scarlett and Tella, who live on a small island. Scarlett wants to go to Caraval, a mysterious magic festival on an island far away before her impending arranged marriage. Scarlett gets her invitation and goes to Caraval with Tella, only for Tella to be kidnapped and used in the festivities. Now Scarlett needs to find Tella before any harm comes to her. It sounds like an interesting and fun YA novel and I can’t wait to start it!

The Edge of Everything by Jeff Giles: This book was on a ton of lists for Must Reads in 2017 even though I wasn’t that interested in reading it in the first place. Reading the description, I still don’t fully understand what the story is about. A girl named Zoe is still grieving over her father’s death, when on the night of a blizzard she and her brother are attacked in a cabin in the woods but saved by a bounty hunter called X. X comes from a place called the Lowlands and has come to “claim the soul” of those who attacked Zoe and her brother. I don’t really get the hype for it, but let’s see where this story goes!

What’s your Library Loot for this week?
